Happy Mother's Day!

Wishing all the moms out there a Happy Mother's Day! Mom, Yu Zhen, Po-po, Caroline, all our friends and family moms and especially to my sweetheart Helen, who I know is going to be the best mommy ever.

BTW, the photo above is of the Mother's Day gift I got for Helen. It is blue topaz, one of the gemstones for the month of December, when Norbit is due (props to Tricia for that great idea and for turning me on to Etsy.com.)

In case you're wondering, I think the necklace is resting against a rock and not a baked potato, though that'd be pretty sweet. And delicious.

  1. Great job Dad! It's beautiful. Couple of things. 1. Don't forget, there is also something called a "push-present (c-secs included)," and 2. What if the baby's earlier and comes in Nov?

    1. No, Daddies do not get presents. You didn't do anything...

    2. If the baby does comes early, the blue necklace will be a symbol of the original due month, which is also significant :D (Audrey was 3 weeks early; supposed to be a June baby, but was born in May)

  4. Hmmm...neve thought of that possibility. Do first babies usually come early or late? how mad would Helen be if the baby didn't come til January 2011?

  5. I don't think it depends on the order. I think there are many factors like; health of pregnancy, heredity (did H's mom have early labor?), miscalculation of due-date, etc. I think she'll be super thrilled b/c once she's got a watermelon in her belly, she will want that sucker out. Just you wait, she'll be complaining so much of the discomfort, she'll be thrilled for an early baby. But we want a healthy one of course :)
